Who am I?

I'm from Houston, a graduate of the University of Texas, a fan of the Houston Astros and Houston Texans. But this blog will be about the "greater sports", whatever that means.

Sportsman of the Week Ending 3/13/2016

March Madness has descended upon the nation, and the national top seed Kansas Jayhawks have been an unstoppable force.  The last time the Jayhawks lost?  January 25 in a Big Monday meltdown against Iowa State in Ames.  Led by our Sportsman of the week Perry Ellis, the Jayhawks have marched through the toughest conference in America to win the regular season by 2 games, then conference tournament with a double digit victory.  The senior forward pumped in 20 points per game in the conference tournament (besting his season average of 17 points), while snatching 15 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in the sweep of Big 12 also rans.  Senior leadership is a big reason teams win the tournament, and Perry Ellis brings that and more as our Longhorndave Sportsman of the Week!
